Accounts and permissions
Choose who can use a connection and which actions Puffle may take.

personal or workspace#
A personal connection belongs to the signed-in member. A workspace connection is shared and managed at the workspace level. Check the account and permission scope before changing a rule.
Personal permissions do not change the shared account’s rules. A provider may also restrict access to particular repositories, projects, files, or teams.
set tool permissions#
Open the connected service in Plugins, then find Tool permissions. Choose Only me or Workspace where available.
| choice | what it means |
|---|---|
| Ask me first | Puffle requests permission before using the tool under that rule. |
| Never | The tool is blocked under that rule. |
| Always allow | The workspace rule permits the tool without asking each time. |
Personal accounts offer Ask me first and Never so Puffle can verify the signed-in member. Workspace admins can manage shared rules, including Always allow. The available controls reflect your role and connected accounts.
review an approval#
Read the proposed action, account, and target before approving. If the requested scope is wrong, decline and clarify your request. A read-only tool and a tool that changes data can have different rules.
These controls apply to connected tools. Do not assume that every computer action or channel delivery uses the same approval screen.
using a connection in an automation#
Automations cannot borrow a member’s personal OAuth grants. Use a suitable workspace connection and review its permissions when preparing unattended work.
See Your first automation for activation and delivery setup.
