Connection troubleshooting

Recover from expired access, blocked sign-in, or a missing connected account.

On this page

the sign-in window did not open#

Your browser may have blocked the provider pop-up. Use the sign-in link shown in the connection dialog, or allow the pop-up for Puffle, then finish authorization. Keep the original Puffle tab open so you can return to the account list.

the account is missing after sign-in#

Return to Plugins and select Refresh. Check that you are in the same Puffle workspace and that the provider flow completed. A cancelled consent screen does not create a connection.

the connection expired#

Open the account’s available reconnect flow and authorize the intended account again. Review any changed permissions. Confirm the account appears, then test a read-only request.

an oauth app is required#

Some providers need an admin-configured OAuth app before user sign-in. Ask a workspace admin to use the secure app setup form and its provider instructions. Match the callback URL exactly. A client ID alone does not replace user authorization.

For Google Workspace preview services, confirm API and MCP service availability as well as consent configuration.

a key was rejected#

Check that the key belongs to the intended service and has the required access. Use the secure form to replace it. Do not paste the key into chat or a support message.

a resource is missing or a tool is denied#

Check account identity, provider permissions, and Puffle’s Tool permissions. For GitHub, check repository selection. For Vercel, check the connected team and project access.

If the connection is marked unsupported, contact support with the service name and visible error. Repeating the same authorization cannot add an unsupported connection method.
